The BlackBerry Z10 is probably the most important product launch BlackBerry has ever had. The company’s future depends on how well the Z10, and the BlackBerry 10 OS underpinning it, are accepted in the fierce smartphone market of today. So when my Z10 arrived on February 5th, I immediately set out to answer one question — is this the BlackBerry people will want? Let’s find out.
Today was Media Day at the 2013 Canadian International Auto Show, and I was in attendance in order to do some coverage for The Blog of Cars. However, since I had my Z10 on hand, I decided to try out something new by sticking all my photos into the Story Maker app. You can see the end result above — it’s a nifty little app!
P.S. I’m hoping to write up my full Z10 review sometime this weekend.
If you were one of the later adopters of the BlackBerry PlayBook, you probably had Zinio preloaded on your device. It’s a nifty app where you can read a huge variety of magazines. Well, my other site is having a Zinio giveaway — you can win one of ten Zinio magazine subscriptions! Interested? Click here for more details.
P.S. In case you’re wondering, I got my BlackBerry Z10 on Tuesday, and I am working on getting a review done in the next week or so. Stay tuned.
BlackBerry knows they need some creative marketing to get themselves back in the smartphone race with BlackBerry 10. So, they made arguably one of the best marketing investments available by buying Super Bowl airtime. You can see the resulting ad above. It puts a creative twist on things by showing you what the Z10 can’t do.
